General Motors has the largest amount of models that utilize the torsion bar front suspension design, and they're currently the only manufacturer to still produce trucks with this design. With the stance of each of their vehicles sitting anywhere from 1" to 2.5" out of level from back to front, our torsion bar relocation keys are the perfect fit! With just a few simple cranks, you can adjust your truck's stance for whatever it needs or whatever you'd like.

A little bit of information on torsion bar suspensions and our leveling keys: Many vehicle manufacturers (General Motors, Dodge, Ford, and others) have utilized the torsion bar front suspension design with their IFS (Independent Front Suspension) vehicles. This interesting design maintains your vehicle's ride height, and allows smooth suspension travel, by capitalizing on the physical nature of a simple solid steel bar. Given the right amount of resistance, this solid steel bar will twist (or "torse") to allow suspension travel. Then, when that pressure is released, the steel will return to its' original shape. The vehicle manufacturers have pre-set your vehicle's torsion bar angle to provide the stance that they think is correct. Our torsion bar relocation keys allow you to fully adjust your vehicle's torsion bar angles to obtain the stance that you (and nearly everyone but the manufacturers) are after: A level stance where the front and rear of the truck sit evenly off the ground. Finally, let's not forget one of the most important features: Our torsion bar key leveling kit allows you to fit bigger tires!

Installation information and requirements: Installation requires only a floor jack, vehicle stands, a medium sized two-jaw gear puller (or a standard torsion bar unloader), and a basic metric 1/2" drive socket set. If you don't own a two-jaw gear puller, or a torsion bar unloader, most auto parts stores (and some repair shops) will allow you to rent one - some even fully refund your deposit when you return it! You can also look below at our "Additional Items" table to purchase your own torsion bar unloading tool. As always, air tools will make any job easier, but certainly aren't necessary. Installation only takes about an hour (2 hours at most), and can be done in your garage or driveway! A front end alignment is highly recommended after installation is complete.
